Frances A. (Toni) Dean, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, peacefully passed away at her home on June 13, 2026 surrounded by her family. Born in Cambridge, Maryland, on September 5, 1947, (78), daughter to the late Franklin D. and Mary Frances (Moore) Wallace. For 16 years Toni with her family grew up in Madison, Md., then relocated to Hudson Md. Toni attended Dorchester County schools and attended Chesapeake College where she received a certificate in Early Childhood Development.

Toni worked at Wheaton Tubing in Easton, Md, where she met her husband Joseph Dean. Following Wheaton Tubing closing she was employed at Mallard Bay Nursing and Rehab Center until her retirement.

Toni found joy in the simple pleasures: she loved Disney often taking trips to FL with family and friends, watched Disney movies repeatedly, loved cruising, traveling with her sisters to Pennsylvania, cherished lunches and dinners celebrating her siblings birthdays; needle point, crafts; yard sales/flea markets; had a very strong passion for her beloved animals.

Toni leaves behind a loving circle of survivors who will carry her memory forward: her daughters Dawn Lednum, and Janie Lednum; son Donald Lee Lednum Jr., Donald Lee Lednum III; extended daughters Ashley Lednum & Jessica Gibbs; her grandchildren; Ashley Ruggiero-Brooks (Jaz), TiffanyRenee Brauchle (Ray); Emily Sterling (Daniel); Chelsea Jackson, (Justin); Bryan Mills (Savannah); Caleb Lednum; Sisters; Mary Lee Pase; Virginia E. (Jenny) Dibble (Gary), Robin Wheeler (Odie); Nancy Jones (William); Penny Derr; Timothy Wallace (Vicki) and multiple great grandchildren, nieces and nephews who cherished her presence. Her family is forever grateful for the enduring legacy she created and the strength she imparted.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin Daws and Mary Frances Wallace; her beloved husband Joseph Dean; brother Franklin R. Wallace & wife Kathleen O'Connor Wallace; brother in law Robert Pase; niece Teresa Addlesberger.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday June 25, 2026, at 12pm (noon) at American Legion Post 91, 98 Sunburst Highway, Cambridge, Md. 21613 with Pastor Wayne Stone officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Fellowship will immediately follow at the American Legion.
