Gary David Grassini of Tilghman, MD was born in Waterbury, CT on October 18, 1967

to Lila Martin Ambrose and Francis Paul Grassini. His passing on April 18, 2026 came

as a surprising shock to all.

He spent his elementary school years in Middlebury, CT and his high-school years in

Sandy Hook, CT.

Gary's hobby as a child was riding a bike and racing. This continued onto dirt bikes and

atvs and when his twins were old enough to ride he introduced them to the sport. He

rode dirt bikes for fun, relaxation and racing.

During his high school years Gary worked as a clerk at Davey Bros. Deli, he studied

computer construction but landed his career in carpentry, primarily hardwood flooring

installation and refinishing building his company All Natural Floors.

Gary was predeceased by his parents and his half-brothers John and Mark Ambrose.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Grassini, his sons Aidan and Nicholas Grassini of

Tilghman, MD, his step-sons Nic Schaufus of Rhome, TX and David Schaufus of

Tewksbury, MA, his sister Nancy Grassini Ritter (Matthew), his half-siblings Michael

Ambrose of Wolcott, CT, Lucy Ambrose Brown (Ray) of Middlebury, CT, Deborah

Grassini DeRienz of Woodbury, CT, Renee Grassini Gill (Jay) of Sandy Hook, CT and

Dane Grassini (Dorina) of New Britain, CT.
