Skye Rae Bogert, age 30, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on October 17, 2025, at the University of Maryland Medical Center ICU, surrounded by her loving family.
Skye had a beautiful heart and an undeniable love for animals. She spent her time volunteering at the Frederick County Animal Shelter and had been working toward going back to school to become a veterinary technician - a path that reflected her deep compassion and purpose. She loved being outdoors, exploring new places, hiking, and soaking in the simple beauty of nature. A gifted musician, Skye was also musically inclined and found joy in playing guitar and singing.
Skye is survived by her mother Michelle Ogle, and father Ronald Ogle of Frederick, Maryland, her partner James Dixon of Baltimore, Maryland, brothers Patrick Long of Baltimore, Maryland, and Mathew Ogle of Cocoa Beach, Florida; her sister Grace Murphy and brother-in-law Herbert Murphy Jr. of Tennessee; her sister Carmella Ogle, and brother-in-law Jacob Nicholson of Frederick, Maryland; her maternal grandmother Sylvia Redmond of Baltimore, Maryland, Her paternal grandmother Patricia Bogert; her aunt Joy Bogert; Her uncle William Maddrix, of Baltimore, Maryland and her Aunt Brenda Morgan, of Baltimore, Maryland. her Nephews Sebastian Ogle; Noah Ogle of Cartersville, Georgia, her niece Bella Bridges of Tennessee; Her cousins Savannah, Izzy and Quinton of Baltimore ,Maryland, second cousin Jasper, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and many more family and friends.
Skye will be remembered for her kindness, creativity, and the way she loved others - both people and animals - so openly and fiercely. She will be deeply missed and was loved by many. A celebration of life will be held in July, around her birthday. Further details will be shared with family and friends at a later date.
